Asia Cup 2014: Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 12 runs in first match

Lahiru Thirimanne's  102 runs and Lasith Malinga 5 wickets helped Sri Lanka to beat Pakistan in the Asia Cricket Cup in opening match.

Chasing a 297-run target, Pakistan seemed to lose the plot right at end at Sri Lanka bounced back with Malinga.

Umer Akmal scores 74 too reached his complete half-century in the 41st over to take the partnership pass 100 runs with Misbah.

Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi picked up two wickets each, while Saeed Ajmal only took one.
