Sony launches Bluetooth Tennis Racket: International CES

Sony Corporation disclosed Bluetooth tennis racket, which is outfitted with vibration and motion sensors which accumulate information about the player´s swing speed, ball speed and spin rate and transmit it to a Smartphone or tablet.At the Consumer Electronics Show, the worlds of sports and technology came together this week, prominence ways science can develop performance for the weekend warrior or professional athlete.
Apps and sensors displayed at CES 2014 help runners, cyclists, skiers, and people who play tennis, golf or baseball and more.
Said Thomas Otton, communications director for Babolat, which released its Play Pure Drive racquet in the US in December, “When you play tennis, you have possess sensation but you don’t have data on power or where the ball hits.”
