Abigaille Climbing Robot

A handout photo released on January 2, 2013 by the European Space Agency shows the six-legged Abigaille climbing robot, able to transition from vertical to horizontal surfaces taken on December 20, 2012. It clings to walls using a gecko-inspired dry adhesive technology. ESA testing shows it is in principle workable in the vacuum conditions of space.
