Hong Kong Customs Seized 189 Ivory Tusks (total value 1.48 Million USD)

Ivory tusks are displayed by the Hong Kong Customs in Hong Kong. According to Hong Kong authorities, the customs conducted a series of anti-smuggling operations since late September, seizing a total of 189 ivory tusks weighing about 769 kilogrammes with a total value of about 11.53 million HKD (1.48 million USD), found in three containers arriving from the Ivory Coast declared as containing "Soya".
