FIFA World Cup 2014: Croatia vs Mexico 34th Match in Pictures

At the final whistle, you could have heard the noise in Cancún. A stadium full of Mexicans went collectively loopy as they watched their side secure World Cup progress with this 3-1 victory over Croatia.

Three thoiusand of them are staying on a cruise liner docked in Recife harbour: now they can sail up the coast to Fortaleza for a last-16 encounter with the Dutch. The partying en route will be epic.
Such a celebration seemed a long way away when the game had started with a growl. (Telegraph)
