Technology: Google Robot wins DARPA Robotics Challenge Trials

Court Edmondson works on the team NASA robot during the DARPA Robotics Challenge Trials at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. The trials put prototype robots from seventeen teams through a series of simple tasks such as opening doors or walking a short distance. The competition is hoping to speed development of robots that could perform a number of critical real-world emergency-response tasks.
