Syria misses Deadline to Remove Chemical Arms: OPCW and UN

Sigrid Kaag, the Special Coordinator of the joint mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the United Nations, overseeing the destruction of Syria’s chemical stockpiles and production facilities speaks  during an interview with AFP in Damascus. Syria is to miss a December 31 deadline for the removal of part of its chemical weapons arsenal for destruction, with ships due to receive the materials returning to Cyprus.
