Nepal National Honey Festival 2013

The First National Honey Festival was started in the Capital from October 3 with the slogan 'Honey Consumption, Healthy Life'. Chairman of the Association of Nepal Central Honey Entrepreneurs Dharma Raj Shrestha said bees, beehives and other apiculture related goods worth Rs 6 million were sold in the festival. He said that the festival was organised to establish a direct relationship between the honey producers and consumers, and promote consciousness regarding the consumption of pure honey. The festival would continue till Sunday. Some 50 stalls of honey produces are kept in the exhibition jointly organised by the Ministry of Agriculture Development, the Association of Nepal Central Honey Entrepreneurs and other organisations.
